Anne is a writer living in San Francisco and also writing there. She keeps a personal weight-loss blog called Hello, I Am Fat, and writes a column for Conde Nast’s upcoming site, Elastic Waist. She had weight loss surgery in November of 2006, but will always be a fat girl in her heart.

My name is Chanel Clark and I attended the BUST Magazine Craftacular Vendor event. I read an article in their recent issue, which referred me to you!
I am the director of the first annual Miss N.Y.C. Plus Runway Modeling Competition. This is a special pageant that showcases full-figured women wearing simulated high-couture designer fashions that compliment their curvaceous frames. Our mission is to break down the harsh stereotypes presented against plus-sized women living in New York City, soon getting our message across to the entire nation. BUST magazine is also a sponsor, and we would have never of found you, if it hadn’t been for the wonderful event put together by BUST magazine!
I am reaching out to independent artists and designers for sponsorship of my event. We are seeking small prizes for the winners of the show (there will be 5 finalists, and 1 grand prize winner). If you are interested in donating a small prize in exchange for a full page advertisement in the program book and

Our event will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Julia Miles Theater on 55th & 9th Avenues.
