dangerous curves ahead

Big Fat Media Sweep

January 28th, 2008

Check out MoPie’s national television debut on the Mike and Juliet Show! She makes the case for acceptance and less judgment without making grand generalizations (*cough*). Rachel from F-Word also nails the point home, plus, bonus, we get to watch their cute husbands too! Look at the fat girls who are married! That never happens!

Thanks to Petulantrumble for putting this out on Youtube!

I won’t speak for all fat girls everywhere, but I am definitely proud to have Mo speak for the cause! Yay!

Brava to both of you! Here’s the short form:

Juliet: tries to incite teh catfight

Meme: babbles bizarro made-up sounding statistics

    Rachel: voice of reason

    Mo: voice of reason

Mike: wonders if the men approve? ’cause that’s what *really* counts!

Cute husbands: beaming & waving (and cute!)

Doctor: same old stuff we always hear, sounding like she’s bored with having to repeat it so much

That’s me in the blue sweater behind Ian! I thought the show was really kind of lame, but you were awesome and it was great to see you four four seconds afterwards!

Hi, I’m totally new here and I found your blog through the NY Times article (how many times have you heard that by now I wonder!). I will definitely have to start visiting more often, I thought you guys were great on this show, and those other two women just looked like big ignorant fools with their whole buying into the BMI bullshit. As if everyone of the same height should be the same weight to be healthy, regardless of all other health indicators! Even the hosts of this show were smarter than those women, as they at least asked about your cholesteral and such!!

    Yay!

MeMe does look and sound like Ann Coulter.

Brava! You did us all proud!
