Well, the new and improved Big Fat Deal launched on Monday, and so far I think it’s been working great. I’ve gotten one report of invisible posts and one report that when a post is clicked on, the sidebar content falls to the bottom of the screen; so far these seem like isolated incidents. If you’ve had either of these problems or any other problems viewing the site, please leave me a comment or drop me a line. As you can see, we’ve fixed the problem of the invisible links on the post pages, I made the Google ads look all pretty (as opposed to the hideous pink square that was there for a day), and hopefully there are no other bugs; if there are, comment away.

We’ve also added more rotating taglines (and there will certainly be more to come) if you like that sort of thing. The finalized logo (no, that’s not it) should be up soon. Also, we’ll be adding footers to the posts so you can bookmark them in places like Digg and de.lic.ious and… Furl? What the heck is Furl? I’m sure I’ll find out. But if you have any other requests along those lines, feel free to make them here. The archives are still on the future to-do plate, but there are some compatibility problems with Blogger and WordPress, so for now, we’re stuck with Blogger archives. After just one week on the new site, the old one looks pretty boring, doesn’t it?

Big Fat Deal’s Technorati ranking was at about 2,000,000 at the beginning of the week and is now closer to 250,000; thank you all for updating your links and spreading the word, especially Erin and Rachel for your kind words. And speaking of links, the other new feature is the mini-blogroll. I think I’m going to feature three blogs monthly and write a little blurb about each one. The first three are listed over in the left sidebar, so go and check them out if you haven’t already.
