Big Fat Deal puts fashion aside and focuses on body images of plus size women. The blog was created by Monique “mo pie” van den Berg, a college English teacher who resides in northern California. Mo pie addresses the image of plus size women in popular culture and society. Through her posts and new “Ask BFD” section, mo pie has created a supporting community for plus size women to share their thoughts, fears, advice and stories and shows them how to love their bodies inside and out.
