Wow that was… strange, odd, interesting and disturbing.

But I have to disagree that the world needs more Buffy only because the freakin’ Joss-less, BTVS-TV-cast-less, BTVS-or-Angel-TV-writer-less Buffy redo that is in the works sounds like a horrible idea.

I believe that the ability to get a partner has less to do with your size and more to do with your attitude. I weigh close to 300lbs, I am a size 24-26, there is no denying I am fat. However, I have a fantastic partner at the moment and the longest I have ever been single is a year and a half and that was because I chose to be. Now I am not saying my life is your life and that you should expect to have my experience at all. But I am saying that maybe you are not single because you are fat. Blaming the fat is an easy scapegoat for a lot of people, especially women, to explain why they can’t do this or that. While you are getting sick of being fed fluff and being single, I am getting sick of women blaming their body size when they are not getting what they want out of life.

I’m so very conflicted with this. I think parts of it looked genuinely funny, but then all the “OMG! She just eats so much! Just watch her do it!” parts came up and I sighed and died inside. The actresse is really hot though, especially in that corset. :D

I’m inwardly fearing that there will be the ‘oh she’s just so disgusting because she’s fat, so therefore she’s ugly!’ type joke or whatnot in there.

But it is suppossed to be a spoof, so….*shrugs* maybe I should lighten up. It’s just tiring seeing the same fat jokes over and over. Even if there is the possibility that it’s such a spoof they’re a subversion of the stereotypes we know.

And holy schniz! I remember Fat Momma!!! I miss that show so much! I wish they would have brought it back.

First of all, can we PLEASE leave the “black community” out of this? I’m so tired of people making black people out to be the automatic fat lovers. There ARE black men out there who do not like fat women.

Second, just because you feel that you cannot find someone who loves you because you are fat does not mean that everyone else on this site is denying reality. The fact that you say we are just being fed “fluff” tells me you’re subscribing to the Fantasy of Being Thin. Your reality is not mine, and I’d appreciate it if you kept yours to yourself.

I dream of being thin. I’m a size 24 and seriously thinking of bariatric surgery. I’m tired of being single and being fat and proud just doesn’t cut it anymore. Sorry, girls, but I have to face reality. In the black community, the pickings are slim and there are very few white guys that I know of that are open to interracial dating. Maybe it’s time for you to give a reality check to your readers instead of feeding them fluff day after day. I wish I was smaller!

I dunno, I kinda love that trailer. I hate Uwe Boll .. like really hate him so when you said it was his film I was prepared for all kinds of terrible. But I actually smiled and laughed at few parts. I think what Carol said is partly why.. because she looks like she is having an obscene amount of fun! I don’t know, there is something in my head I want to say about having a sense of humor and being able to laugh at yourself and stuff, but I can’t quite figure out how to put it in the proper words. All I will say though is uuhhhh.. hot fracking HOT is that actress? She could take my sandwich any day!

Yes, the title is a little off-putting BUT…the idea of an oomphy blonde uber-frau
whacking away at the bad guys while chomping on a wurst is hysterical. Also, the actress looks like she’s having a ball doing it — all I’ve ever seen her do is really serious stuff.

Hey – it’s what the world needs now: a big, ballsy blonde bashing baddies! The picture won’t make twelve cents but it shows somebody’s being creative, rather than saying “all parts for fat actresses should show them as slovenly, depressed lumps”.
