Celebrity "Fat" Club
This is a picture of Nicole Eggert, recreating her Baywatch character for Celebrity Fit Club, where it will no doubt be cast in the light of, “ew! she was so hot on Baywatch and now she’s so fat!”
Well, I’m going to go out on a limb and say she looks smoking hot in her bikini, not that she has any obligation to look smoking hot or put on a bikini or conform to anyone’s idea of sexual attractiveness at all. You know what I mean. (Via CDAN.)
And in other celebrity news, Padma Lakshmi of Top Chef seems to think she’s fat.
As for her changing body, she admits the public scrutiny makes her self-conscious, but says she’s used to it. “During the course of filming Top Chef, I gain 15 lbs., so I’m used to needing two dress sizes,” she said with a shrug. “Now I’ll just need three: my fat size, my skinny size and my super size.
As via Carol Blymire put it on Twitter, “Oh, Padma. You were never ‘fat’ and being pregnant isn’t super-sized.”
Really though, at least Padma, “is in no way restricting her diet, and plans to eat her way through another season of Top Chef.” For some reason, as idealized as her beauty is, I like to think of her as having a healthy attitude towards food. Maybe that’s because I watch her savor it every Wednesday night on this season of Top Chef. (Which, by the way, go Jen and Michael V and Kevin!)

Yeah – although it’s not my place to judge – Nicole looks awesome in that bikini!
Those are my favorite three on Top Chef too!! Actually, I love both of the Voltaggio brothers.

The first time Padma Lakshmi crossed my radar, I wondered how she could stand, she was so skeletally skinny. Someone that thin hosting a cooking show is just bizarre and screams “EATING DISORDER” to me. I had the same thought with Giada di Laurentiis, who looked like a bobblehead doll the first time I ever saw her show. At any rate Padma looks healthy and gorgeous now. And Nicole Eggert looks great but definitely has some guts.
Why doesn’t Nicole Eggert look like she did on “Charles in Charge”? I’m so disgusted!

I don’t watch Top Chef and had never seen or heard of this person before I saw your twitter update about it and when I followed the link, I stared at her pic for a good 15 mins trying to understand how she calls herself fat. I don’t get it.
*drool* I’m sorry, what? I was distracted by the bikini photo… I don’t wanna be too pervy but her stomach has got to be the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Wow.
If I looked like that, I’d walk around with my belly hanging out all the time!
Nicole looks any other woman with a belly who wears bikinis to the beach. It’s such a normal ocurrence, I don’t know why so many people get so skeeved out about it.
She looks healthy! And that’s beautiful, no matter what your body type is..

Funny or Die has a terrible video about her running to save some guys and them begging her to stop. Because drowning is apprently better than her rescuing them, har har. All through the video I was wondering why she was meant to be so repulsive. Seeing the photo of the real life Nicole, I’m still wondering.
Seriously, everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but I still don’t understand why people think that their negative opinion means that someone can’t wear what they want or look how they want. Most people have the ability to look away. Why don’t they use it?
I dont think she looks unhealthy. She is rocking that swimsuit.
Padma used to be a model so she is probably calling herself fat compared to that, or compared to what she used to be.
also on Padma-I can legitimately see how pregnancy can feel “too big” from what I’ve seen, you don’t stay one size long enough to get to really feel like “this is me, this is how much space I take up” because by the time you do, you’re always taking up more space-it’s not about the absolute size, but more about how fast it’s changing in the direction of up. but I haven’t been pregnant, and this is based on a pretty small sample. so ymmv
Nicole Eggert looks smokin’! Padma is gorgeous, and I must say that pregnancy-big feels different than “fat”-big. At least, it did for me. Most of your weight is centered in one area, and your center of gravity is thrown off. It can be an odd feeling. It’s exactly as kb described.
well, IMO, every one is entailed to their own interpretation of what is ‘fat’ for them. Padma did say *my* fat size. Her normal size is one number, and if she works hard to stay at that, then I can see being a bit miffed if she goes above it.
I think she looks fat. Esp her thighs.
Fair game to her if she is happy being seen in public like that, but no way is she “hot” in the western world normal definition of that word
I am glad she is happy being who she is. I would not be happy to look like that. She’s fat. And her thighs are ugly.
Fat can be ugly sometimes you know. Or maybe you don’t believe that here.
All fat is not ugly; nor is all fat beautiful. Just like all skinnies ain’t pretty either. Beauty I guess is in the eye of the beholder. And I didn’t get it here.

Some of us fat people would never expose our “Worst points” in public. Moral decenty requires that we try to do our best
