Some things were meant to be left alone. A good cheeseburger needs no help from a donut.

I just have to say that I would defintiely try one of these. I agree that it would be a one time (or once every two years) thing - like deep fried twinkies. I winced at the thought of deep fried twinkies and 5 years later when I tried one I swooned. I also loved your reaction to the "fatty mcfatfat" comment. Bad for you food does not equal fat people, Mr. McFatfat. I'm a 95 lb. mother of four and I don't diet nor do I deny myself the occasional (or more than occassional) giant sweet treat!

Also, I am an organic believer. I do believe that we can cure most anything by what we put into our bodies. But really, why do some people turn everything into a huge issue? Why is organic food so expensive? Let's see...maybe it's because organic food costs more to produce. Sounds crazy but it's true. You pay for quality like in any other market. Like I said, I have four young children and buying organic milk at $7 a gallon is killing me. If someone wants to eat a Krispy Kreme bacon cheddar burger SO WHAT! No one is holding your mouth open and shoving one in. We all have the freedom to eat what we want and goverment cannot regulate that nor should they! It's not like smoking where it's being blown in our faces and pulled into our bodies against our wishes - it's a burger.

You can't find these anywhere; they aren't on a chain's menu. They were a one-time-only thing for a Google party.

Where to start? No, no one makes anyone eat these, which is good because if someone did, I would hurl. And yet, and yet...we can find these in any major city, and yet we have to search high and low for organic food, local food, slow food, moderate food? Sure, it's there(usually, kind of), but is it ANYTHING like as easy to find a fresh, local, organic vegetable plate as it is to find a Krispy Kreme cheeseburger? Are the slow/local/healthy/moderate choices as easy, as varied, as cheap? See answer key for correct response, which is, as they say in these parts, "HAY-ull no!"

So my real question is WHY? Why can some idiot come up with this ungodly concoction and actually get it on some chain's menu, when that chain could be marketing local tomatoes and broccoli and even fresh frybread to vegetarians, vegans, locavores, and all the other folks who'd like something minimally processed and marginally less wasteful and cruel? Why? What is it about us as a country that makes this disparity not only possible, but likely, and then scoffs at the fat? Who, it's true, are not forced to eat these things, but who also are not often readily able to find the good stuff instead? Too weird. Too sad.

God help me, but I would try it. Can I get bacon on it too?

Seriously, though, it's kinda like a croque monsieur (cross between french toast and hand-and-cheese sandwich). I like that one too......

holy moses. Something about super-sweet + meat isn't doing it for me, either. I'm not a major doughnut lady, myself - but I did get a smooch out of a Krispy Kreme once, so I can't totally hate on them.

Hardly surprising it brings the eedjits out of the woodwork, is it?

I would definitely try this, just to say I did. Plus, there is a high chance it would be delicious!

BTW, it doesn't seem like this has anything to do with the Krispy Kreme company, Google made them for someone's birthday. How nice!
