It depends on one’s definition of beautiful. On the basis of inner beauty, I’d add Sister Dorothy Stang. On the basis of outer beauty alone, I’d suggest model Nyabel Lual.

    Inner beauty: Madeline Albright

    Rebecca Fields from October Road
Jill Scott (a repeat, she’s been on it before)
    Dennis Haysbert, actor
    Jacob Vargas, actor
    Stephen Colbert, dorkwad

…and my fantasy boyfriend: Robert Downey Jr. Ever since I saw Iron Man and saw that goatee, those biceps, that mix of cockiness and sweet soulfulness, I’ve made him my fantasy boyfriend.

Oh, if we’re talking of fantasy boyfriends, I’d totally add Kevin Spacey and Anderson Cooper to the list. George Clooney is a given, of course.

Whoopi Goldberg, America Ferrera, Helen Mirren, Deena Kastor, Chandra Wilson, L.A. newscaster Pat Harvey, and my partner Deanna. For guys – my sons Matt and Steven, Kevin Costner circa Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Thomas Gibson, Tim Daly, and probably another several people I’ll think of as soon as I log off.

Famous people: Nigella Lawson, Rachel Weisz, Monica Belluci, Samantha Morton, Emily Watson, Sienna Cassidy, YOU, Rachel from the F-Word, Kate Harding (this is no arse-kissing, I truly believe you girls are stunning from the pictures and videos I’ve seen), Antony Hegarty, Patrick Wolf, James McAvoy, that kid obsessed with Johny Depp’s daughter from Sweeney Todd, Stuart Murdoch, Jonas Bjerre, and some other indie kids who remind me of my boyfriend (I’m so painfully faithful, even with celebrity crushes) whose names I can’t remember now.

My mom, my deceased grandmother, my grandfather, me when my hair is combed (LOL), my friend Cindy, who also has a gorgeous singing voice, and my friends & extended family.

Celebrity-wise, there are only two women I really consider beautiful, and they are Kate Winslet and Salma Hayek. They’re gorgeous, and they also seem to have gorgeous personalities too.

For the men, I agree with Rachel about Kevin Spacey. I get flak for thinking he’s attractive, but there’s just something about him. I like guys who don’t fit the Hollywood look. Ewan MacGregor always appealed to me. He’s handsome, but not a knockout. Also, David Tennant and John Simm, two gorgeous guys from across the pond and not beefcake either. They look like real guys you’d see hanging at the mall *g.* And John Barrowman, even though he’s gay *sigh*.

Oh, goody – - this is fun! I totally love Osa Morena and Cyn for putting Pat Harvey and Antony Hegarty on their lists.

I don’t know that this is exactly a ‘most beautiful’ list, but here’s my shortlist of people that, for some reason, I always look forward to seeing and never tire of watching: Jack Black, Bette Page, Ken Leung, James Callis (from Battlestar), Denholm Elliott (I LOVED his smile – - the eyebrows!!), Catherine Zeta-Jones, Chayanne, Jude Law, Grace Jones, Tim Curry, James Marsters, Tempest Storm, Adam Ant, Karen Allen and Michael Caine.

    Beautiful People:

    Gerard Butler
    James Macavoy
    Kate Winslet
    Kevin Mckidd
    Queen Latifah
    Ray Stevenson
    Salma Hayek
    Penelope Cruz
    Helen Mirren
    Judi Dench

Dead, but still gorgeous in my mind

    Gary Cooper
    Kate Hepburn
    Cary Grant
    Ruth Hussey
    Jimmy Stewart
(basically the whole cast of the Philadephia Story)
Joan Crawford (who I feel gets a super bad rap, watch her early films, gorgeous!)

I am so sick of seeing the same old plasticized stars on these “most beautiful” lists. We KNOW who we find beautiful, and honestly we don’t need some freaking media outlet telling us. It has nothing to do with size and weight, and everything to do with charm, charisma, and humor.
