The Vain Van

The Vain Van by Emily Duffy was at the Maker Faire this year, and I took a picture of it for you! The back asks “I look fat? By whose measure?” and one side asks “Who profits from your self-loathing?” The other side says “Vanity, thy name is marketing.” It’s always cool to see fat-positive art out in the wild. You can see more photos of the Vain Van right here.

“Who profits from your self-loathing?” made me think of the video for “This is the End” by Anti-Flag (*swoon*).

I should add that when I watch that video it takes all of my self control not to try to jump through the screen and have my way with them.
