I don’t like “fluffy” either. My guinea pig is fluffy. I’m not fluffy (unless I’ve been out in a high wind without tying my hair back).

I like Ginny’s “take me as I am” philosophy, though.

Very cool clnyc! I lurv my ebooks. I’ve got 400 of them on my palm pilot. This way, if I’ve got to wait at a doctor’s office or go on a trip, I’ve got my library with me.

You can also find lots of other genre’s in ebook at http://www.fictionwise.com. They’re an ebook seller that even has the big hitters that come out in paperback. If an author I like has something coming out, I try and find it on fictionwise before I plunk down the money for a paper copy. :D

Recent lurker here – I must say that I’ve read a few of Celia Kyle’s books, thanks to the “tell us what to read” post on here. While I’m not inclined to full book reviews, I will say they’ve all been pretty good. I love the ebook format, so much nicer than wasting paper. And she’s introduced me to the whole shifting concept, which is fascinating. Like Piffle, I do enjoy the paranormal, so these are particularly fun. And reading the male lead’s responses to the “can anyone love this body” monologue – so satisfying! Keep up the good work!

Oh, it’s so good to see a romance novel reviewed here! I’m a longtime, proud, romance reader (and proud reader of romance blogs) and it has always been irksome to have (both straight and queer) romances not reflect my size as a reader.

I may actually have to try an e-book now.

As for finding me in the bookstores, it isn’t going to happen. I’m an e-book author. All of my books can be purchased online and read in most e-book readers/pda’s/computers. They come in pdf, lit & prc formats. I know some people love a physical book in their hands, but with the number of books I go through when reading, its become a major pain to store them all. And how many do you really read more than once or twice before sending them off to goodwill & the like? With e-books, they’re stored on your computer (or on a disk if you prefer) and only take up the teensiest bit of space. I’ve got well over 400 books in one tiny folder on my computer. And think of all the trees it saves! LOL

*sigh* Yes, I’m a minor league tree hugger. I don’t do too much beyond a few household things and sticking to being e-published, but I do what I can to help out the environment. I even started a series at one of my publishers to promote e-reading and curvy ladies: Big, Blooming & Wild! :D

I read romances, and it’s nice to see one recommended with a lush heroine. There are others out there too, but my wonky memory doesn’t bring the titles up immediately. I’ll probably start awake at midnight and remember a whole list of them.

The paranormal bit doesn’t bother me, it seems quite common in romance novels today; and I prefer the shifters to vamps.

I’ll look out for this one.

Um. And I don’t care to be called fluffy, makes me think insubstantial, unimportant. Curvy, lush, earthy, grounded, rounded, even plump are better to my ear.

Thank you BFD for posting the review and a big squishy hut to mccn for reading my book and writing an amazingly detailed review.

I’m glad you enjoyed it overall and you’ve brought up some points that I hadn’t thought about or explored fully in my writing. Time for some more research into the fluffy sexin’… *oh hubby* LOL

I’m definitely taking notes on how to make my work better appeal to the fluffy ladies. Being one myself, I always love a good story with a curvy heroine, but if I can portray curvy lovin’ better for readers, I’m all for it.
