A very important part of this nutritious breakfast

Best of February

March 7th, 2008

This month was an exciting one here at BFD headquarters. We started a Facebook group, which as of this writing is at 151 members. I’m planning to have some exclusive content for Facebookers coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that. (Right now, there’s a thread where you can suggest new taglines.)

The other big news this month was the letter from our 14-year-old, and her follow-up response. I’ve literally never been so proud to have this blog. Thanks to all of you for that. Those two posts are now permalinked in the sidebar.

In addition to that, we talked about a bunch of men: Wyclef Jean and Stephen Colbert and Leonard Nimoy and Alton Brown. And to balance that out with some estrogen, we talked about Oprah.

We also had fun analyzing a Big Fat Ad and talking about men who are allegedly attracted to extremely thin women. And, as always, much more. Thanks everyone for all your continued comments, links, and visits. I love looking back at each month because it reminds me how much our little enclave on the web means to me. Thank you!

*sigh* On that “attracted to anorexia” post, I’m sure there are some men who like super-skinny. That doesn’t mean there aren’t just as many who like regular/overweight girls. I think they’re just more hesitant to approach bigger girls because, from experience, bigger girls tend to get DEFENSIVE when people hit on them, like they can’t believe someone actually finds them attractive.

Michelle – I often wonder if I’m being “chatted up” sometimes….but my brain tells me “NOOOO he’s just being friendly or sociable.” OR “He’s just being nice to sell me something…get something from me..etc”

So I’m sure that happens sometimes.
