Listen, as a fat chick myself who has shopped at Lane Bryant on several occasions, my heart aches for my slain and wounded sisters who died at the hands of a demon-possessed monster who is still on the lam. I don’t understand the ingnorance of those who, at a time like this, would further dehumanize and insult women of size by making disgusting fat jokes. What if this horror had of happened at a Big and Tall Men’s store or at the Gap for skinny broads? You people are reprobates! My thoughts and prayers goes out to the families of these precious women.

My heart goes out to them also. When I first heard the news I was a bit shocked because I also work for a Lane Bryant and none of them have cameras. They sent an email to us about store safety this week but that really isn’t enough to keep us safe.

And Fillyjonk, you’d be surprised how many women who work for Lane Bryant are “morbidly obese”. If anything we run the gamut from sizes 0 to 22. And running to the door wouldn’t have helped them if he entered in through the front. Their best bet would have been the backdoor. Anyhow, if that comment was meant to be light-hearted and funny, it really wasn’t.

I keep thinking about the women at the store and how scared they must have been. I want to cry everytime I think about their last hour or minutes. I keep thinking, “What would I have done?” You think of the people in the palne at 9/11 who sat helpless. I wonder, would I have tried to fight. It was 6 against one, but one had a gun. One may have been killed by fighting for the gun. Who would have made that sacrifice to possible save te others? I don’t know if I could have done it. Maybe they never thought they would be killed, maybe just tied up, but not killed. Who would do something so insane? For $200 lousy dollars. Here you bastard, I will give you $200 dollars. i am so angry! I am so angry!

What I thought was interesting was in the news here they didn’t say “Lane Bryant” they said “women’s clothing store” but then showed a picture of a Lane Bryant store.
