   I have mixed feelings about the whole fat ladies in tutus thing (also seen in the “big girls, you are beautiful” video). First, it makes them look like they’re in the circus. You know, like in a side show? Second it’s reminiscent of the dancing hippos in Fantasia. Now, I love the dancing hippos and the side show fat ladies as much as the next person, but they’re definitelty meant to be funny. And, it’s a little annoying to me that fat women always seem to be some kind of joke. Always. Even – especially – when they’re supposedly being portrayed positively. (wink, wink. nudge, nudge.)
