fat girl number 9 – guts

I’m trying to hunt down a picture of my wedding dress to show you all for feel good Friday, and hopefully that will materialize sometime before the end of the day. (Here I am in a pool; how about that?)

In the meantime, I found a zine called Fat Girl on etsy. Here’s anongrrl’s description of issue #8:

[I]ncludes a bunch of art, and is a text heavy zine about what it’s like to be a fat girl. this issue has personal stories about fat experience with clothes, a thank you to the anonymous older FG wearing a bikini top at the beach, a letter to my belly, and a thong story (yes, they make those in our size!).

Since I am broke after the wedding, I haven’t yet purchased an issue. But it looks fabulous; I intend to.

That swimming pool shot is freakin’ fantastic. If I were your husband I’d frame it.

And I think we are very similar shapes, so I’m on tenterhooks for dress photos. Think I’m going to Lee Lee’s Valise for mine.

I posted a picture from karaoke, which is not the greatest photographically, but does show you looking all hot in your dress while simultaneously righting wrongs.

Nicci is fabulous!!! I have submitted to her zine before. She does an incredible job and is an amazing artist in general.
